Proud member of NAPCP and HeArts Speak…

I am so proud to have recently been accepted into two very special professional organizations.

First, the National Association of Professional Child Photographers (www.napcp.com) Their mission is “to promote and support the artistry and integrity of the most talented, creative, and professional child photographers”.   It is an honor to be accepted into such good company of talent child photographers.

Second, HeArts Speak (www.heartsspeak.org).  They are a wonderful new organization whose focus is to connect animal artists with animal rescue groups in order to use their art to help get animals adopted.  Now, you all know how crazy I am about animals.  I am super excited to get started working with this organization to help give back some of the love that I get from my two dogs every day.

Just wanted to share my excitement and pride!  You can find out more about both on their websites and they are both also on Facebook.

Beauty.  Love.  Mush.  Delicious.

As always, please feel free to leave comments below!

Little Ada Grace at home

Going to a client’s home is always an adventure. I never know what I will get in terms of light, furniture, decorations. But this little peanut has the coolest nursery….I’d sure sleep sweetly in that room if it were me!

Snugglin’ with mommy…I just love her sweet little face

And….well, who could resist?

Karen, Scott, Cash, and ?/Dallas Maternity Photography

Just kidding about the question mark…we know that little Cooper is arriving next week and this sweet family will be back for newborn portraits.  So glad that they moved back to Texas just in time for me to capture this sweet time in their lives….again.  I remember when little Cash was right where Coop is now.

Yuhong, Maternity Session

Hi Everyone!  Sorry its been so long since I’ve blogged.  I’ve been really swamped with holiday sessions and orders.  I wanted to put just a few up for Yuhong because she’s due to deliver any time now!  I had a lot of fun Yuhong, her brother and her mom.  Yuhong doesn’t speak English but I thought we connected just fine!

Good luck with the delivery Yuhong!  I’ll be looking forward to seeing you for our newborn session.

Nathalie, High School Senior (and a very special person to me)

Well, folks, this is the girl who started it all.  Eight years ago, Nathalie, her mom, and I went to the park and took the pic that was the cover of my website for the longest time.

Now she’s graduating high school.  I just can’t believe it.  This session was really special to me.  I love this girl.  And in remembering where I began my business and where I am now I feel so blessed and lucky and grateful that I am able to live my life loving what I do.

Anyway…here is the pic that started it all:

And here she is now–all grown up. An absolutely beautiful young woman, inside and out:

Eli, 3 years old

Well, I have been loving my little 2 and 3 year olds lately.  Not a poopy one in the bunch!  But this guy…holy cow!  My new nickname for him (in my head) is LH–short  for Lil Heartbreaker.  What a delightful little boy.  Just so full of wonder and sweetness.  I really enjoy watching him grow.

Bridget, 8 weeks old

Fun time with 8 week old Bridget.  She was just delicious!

Mallory, 6 weeks

What a little peanut.  She looks exactly like her big sis, Elise (now 3), did when she was this age.  Look at that head of hair!  Big sis, whose hair was exactly like that, is now a blonde.  Like white-blonde.  Amazing.  Time will tell with Miss Mallory.  She is just as sweet as the day is long.

Annabelle (4), and Cash (2)

Oh, the Reese Family….longtime favorites here.  Seriously.  I love Lori.  I love Daniel.  I love Annabelle.  And I love Cash.  Some of my very favorite pics that I’ve ever taken have been of these kiddos.  I have a huge canvas of baby Cash giving Lori a big, wet lick/kiss on her cheek hanging in my proofing room.

They are growing up so fast!  It was just wonderful to see them again, as usual, and I’m wishing them the very best in their new home!
