Beautiful Tori (8 years old)

Did I say 8?  Yes I did.  I know.  Isn’t she just lovely?  I’ve had a great time taking pics with Tori for a few years now.  And every time is more fun than the one before.  I just like her so much.  She’s got a great vibe about here and I am so looking forward to more sessions as she grows and changes.

Ahni (3 years old) and Daddy

Okay…so my little friend Ahni came for a very special “Daddy and Me” session yesterday.  It was great.  What a treat to see a daddy and his little girl have a special time for just the two of them.  Here are some pics from our time together:

And, of course, here’s one of my girl being her little sweet self.  That’s right….when you’re 3 you have a lot to ponder…

Sweet little Coco, 8 weeks old

Oh, I LOVE the doggie sessions!  This sweet puppy is Coco, an 8 week old Yorkie-Poo.  That’s right, a Yorkie-Poodle mix.  The most delicious puppy.  I got some great shots and wanted to post at least one this afternoon since I know I won’t have time to work on them for a few days.  More to follow later.

We’re winners! WFAA A-List results are in…

We are so very, very excited.  We just found out that we won Third Place in the WFAA-A List contest for Best Portrait Photographer in North Texas!  There were 60 studios in the contest and we are thrilled with our Third Place finish.  We actually didn’t even know we were in the contest until about 10 days before the end so we were really thrilled to move up that high so fast.

I want to thank everyone who voted for us and also a huge thank you to those who took the time to write such nice comments about me and my work.  No matter what place we had come in, those kind words had already made me feel like a winner.  I was really moved by the comments.

If you’re interested, you can take a peek at the wonderful reviews HERE

What a nice validation of our work.  So very much appreciated.

Seriously yummy Sydney (14 months)

I have been so blessed to have worked with this family for quite some time now.  Syndey is the newest member and came today for a private (re: without the brothers) session.  She is 14 months of serious deliciousness.  Her “yum” factor is off the charts.

She definitely has a pensive vibe…sweetness to the “nth” degree:

She loves to dance and she was so cute peeking to see if we were watching her:

She and Mommy had a fun time with my super fun blocks:

And then….she was done:

Oh….wait…can’t resist the chub.  She is so deliciously squishy.  I love that I get to work with babies!

Cuteness…Jackson (7 months)

I have a busy day today but I really wanted to put at least one of baby Jackson before the day gets away from me.  Okay, so this baby…is cuteness personified.  What you see here?  This is this baby since he was a newborn.  He was a delight to photograph then, and he just keeps getting more and more fun.  Oh, and Mom and Dad?  Love them.  What a fun time I had with little Jackson.  He is so juicy.  Mom even has a song about Jackson’s juicy thighs. So very, very cute.

More of Devan

I didn’t think we had gotten anything great when we put baby Devan in this sling…but then, today, when I was working on the images I decided that I love these two.  Hope his mom and dad love them too!

Sarah, Adam, and baby Trent

This family….love them.  First, just because they are sweet, adorable, kind, cool, laid back, and easy to work with.  It is easy to work with people that you just plain like to begin with.  But also, because they know their baby.  What I mean is…baby Trent is a serious guy.  Always has been.  From what Mom tells me he was serious from day one.  He’s also a little reserved.  So…when they come for portraits, they aren’t trying to make this wonderful, beautiful baby into something that he is not.  He is not going to be a roly-poly giggling baby.  He is going to be a toughtful, attentive, serious baby.  And these great parents want to capture Trent in portraits.  The “real” Trent.  Which take a load of pressure off of them, Trent, and me.  Because we can all relax and enjoy the experience.  And what a beautiful boy he is.

The beautiful family:

And, hey, sitting in a nice basket always makes everyone happy, right?
