Margaret, David, and Mattias…plus one

When we did family portraits back in November with Margaret, David, Mattias and thier dog I never expected that 6 months later we’d be back in the studio doing portraits for a new arrival!

Congratulations to the whole family!

Where’s the baby?

A sweet moment for Mommy and Daddy:

Everyone:

Savannah (8), Cheyenne (4), and Mom

I first met Savannah when she was about a year and a half old.  Every time I see her I think about what a beautiful girl she is and I can still see that baby from so long ago in her face.  She is the ultimate big sister.  So great with little Cheyenne.  Now…Cheyenne has a totally different personality.  Where Savannah is calm, Cheyenne is a boisterous, silly 4 year old.  They love each other so much.  There is such sweet tenderness between these two girls, its a joy to see.

We were supposed to do our session outside, but we had some mishaps with the time of day so we ended up doing studio instead.  I love how the pink paper worked out!  What fun girls….pink suits them!

Mason (12) and Garrett (8)

I love these 2 boys.   Garrett is my little wild-man.  So much “boy energy”, and so much fun. It always makes me happy to see him.  And Mason is such a cool kid.  I love his spirit.   He is thoughtful, creative, and inquisitive.  I just feel like I “connect” with both of them in a way that is super special to me.

So…here’s a few from our recent session.  You can sort of see what I’m talking about in this first pic:

But I really love this one of the 2 of them…a quiet moment:

A couple of faves of Garrett:

And a few of Mason:

And cracking himself after his “Blue Steel” look:

One with mom Penny. I have a gorgeous “serious” one too, but Penny’s smile lights up a room so I have to post this one:

And, finally, this is one that I just like. I look at this and see the “boy legs”, big and little…and their “boy feet” in those huge shoes….those shadows…I just like it:

So…Mason and Garrett and Penny, I hope you like these! I had a great time seeing all of you again!

Marilyn, 6

Seriously??  Could I have had a better time this morning? I think not!  I have been taking pics of Marilyn since she was a baby.  Every time that I see her we have more fun than the time before.   I’ll warn you now, I’m posting a bunch of pics here because I just had such a great time!

San Francisco

I’m so bad about printing our own personal pics.  We recently had a fantastic time in San Francisco.  Yes, it is officially my favorite US city (so far).  I love, love, love it there.

Of course, I am just mesmerized by the sea lions.  I literally could stand and watch them for a couple of hours–which is saying a LOT for someone as truly ADD as I am:

One day, Pat and I went to Golden Gate park. It was so beautiful. You can find beauty there in a simple reflection after the rain:

It was so funny…while walking through the park we kept seeing peanuts in the strangest places. They’d be stuck in a tree, or tucked into a tiny spot. It was really odd and funny:

One day, we went to the top of the Coit Tower which we hadn’t done when we were in the city before. It wasn’t so great. I mean, it was a pretty view and all but the windows were smudgy and it was just a little underwhelming. Pat took these:

I even managed to squash down my excessive camera shyness and let some guy take a couple of pics of Pat and I:

But I like the one that I took of just Pat much better:

Pat thought these legs sticking out of the building on Haight were really funny. I thought the shopping was more interesting. But now that I see the pic I think he’s right. They are funny.

This girl…

what a really special girl she is.   I adore Tori.  Isn’t she just beautiful?  The best part is that she is as special on the inside as she is pretty on the outside.

Summer and Jason

I have such a history with these two wonderful people.  I knew Summer when she was a little girl and then we didn’t see each other again until she was engaged.  We ended up shooting their beautiful wedding, and then I was honored to share in their excitement when they came back for portraits to announce their news about a new baby on the way.  Now, she is almost ready to deliver and they are more in love than ever.  My heart feels so good whenever I get to spend time with these two…
