I had such an incredibly fun time with Amy and her assistants the day we shot these photos. It was a real “girl party” and I felt like they were all on my team, helping me look my best and cheering me on! As you can see, I’m no spring chicken — but that wasn’t really the point. It was to look attractive, but also true to who I am in real life. I think Amy has a special knack for revealing her clients’ personalities, and that’s what I love about these pictures. I feel like they reflect me — not someone else’s image of who (or how young) I should be.

Oh, and also, I liked getting to pick the outfits.

Here are a few from another really fun, recent session. It was awesome and we had such a great time. This lovely woman wrote a really nice note to me about her experience. I’m going to post more pics from her session with her note in a separate post because I think her words will help so many other women overcome their fears and commit to this fun and freeing experience.

I just started working on the images from this session today…there’s so many wonderful ones that just show her personality so much. She’s especially fond of blowing raspberries right now. I’ll most likely add one of those adorable pics to the blog post later this week.

I have so many great images from this session, but I’m saving most so I can surprise this gorgeous woman with all of them at once.

I’m so proud of myself. Its hard to even put it into words. I’ve always worked out, done yoga, etc but I’ve never done a program like this. I had to make a huge comittment. It taught me so much about more than exercise.

For anyone who is considering it, I say DO IT. I swear to you, if I can do it anyone can do it. I know that it looks intimidating but it is modifiable. Also, its important to remember that it isn’t supposed to be easy! I think people try it and then give up because its hard. Yes, it IS. But that’s how you get results. Your body steps up to the challenge.

I had so many bumps in the road. I have a bad back and needed a shot in it partway through and then in February I broke my toe. I’ll be honest, that was big bump. It cut down on what I was able to do tremendously. But I kept doing whatever I could. I learned a lot about overcoming obstacles. I learned about sticking things out even when they are hard. I learned a lot about trust. It was hard for me to trust the program (see Cheryl, I was listening) because it was very different than how I’d worked out before.

Now the 90 days is up and my body has changed, my outlook has changed, …I feel like my whole life has changed by what P90X has done for me. And by what I’ve done for myself.

It IS a challange.
It IS a committment.

You have to make the decision to make the time to do it and to put your workout clothes on and push play. Even when you’re tired. Even when you’re busy. Even when you’re not in the mood. Even when your toe is broken

Yesterday I saw this one just sitting out on his own, enjoying our lovely weather!

And then this morning, I got to see both babies. What a treat this is. I don’t take it for granted for one moment. I feel so lucky to get to see this!
