Welcome to the Shades of You Photography Blog!

Hi there and welcome to our blog. We hope that by visiting here you will get a good idea of who we are and how much we love what we do! We're going to be pretty casual here in our blog...mostly because that's just who we are! We're looking forward to sharing our enthusiasm and love of photography with our clients, friends, and family!

We specialize in portrait photography, focusing on you and your relationships. It is our goal at every session to capture that special moment, glance, expression, or gesture that speaks volumes to you later when you see it every day on the walls of your home.

Please visit our website at www.shadesofyouphoto.com or click on the Website link at the top of the page to view more of our work. There you will find galleries with images from the many types of sessions that we do as well as other information about booking your session.

So, enjoy the blog. Take a look around...stay a while. And please visit again soon.

Amy

Conner, 8 months

I am smitten with this little guy.  I mean, really?  Who could resist this face?

He was happy the entire time he was here. What a lovebug!

Big sister-to-be!

I can’t believe it, but little Miss Velvet is going to be a big sister …and soon!  This family, truly, has such a special place in my heart.  I just loved them from the very first minute we met at their pregnancy session for this little peanut.  We’ve had a wonderful time at every session since, and I can’t wait to meet the new baby.

Lovely mommy-to-be

I had such a fun time working with Christina.  Such a beautiful mommy-to-be, and not just on the outside.  And, the baby is due on my birthday!  I’m looking forward to the newborn session already!

Smoochable twins…

Yes, these two are as delicious and adorable as ever…

Jonah is getting sooo big!

I adore this family.  Aimee, Craig, and Jonah are just all beyond sweet.  And now Jonah is getting so big!  Look at this adorable, sweet, handsome boy.  He is the apple of his mommy and daddy’s eyes…as well he should be!

I’m just sayin’…

I really do have the 2 cutest dogs in the world.

So, I’m in the studio getting ready for a session and have a couple of new things to try out in the meantime…light, etc.  Well, of course these 2 want in on the action.  And, really, how lucky am I to have 2 such adorable models whenever I want to play?  Normally I wouldn’t have collars and tags on in pet portraits, but they literally just got in the basket as I was setting things up so of course I had to take their pic.  They were just asking for it!

They are so cute…and its not me being biased.  It is just a universal truth.

Vivienne, almost 3 weeks old

I’m still going through the pics from this session but had to at least post a couple of this adorable baby.  What a little angel.  And her parents are so, so nice!  What a pleasure!

Double the fun…Amelia and Sophie, 7 months old

These 2 girls are so adorable.  Sophie wasn’t in a great mood this day and we’ll be taking some more in a couple of weeks (so yes, you’ll get to see more of these darling girls) but can you say “cute”???  I could eat them up with a spoon!

Julian, 4 years old

So, the holidays are over and I am back at work.  I spent 2 wonderful weeks with Pat and I am very behind in my work but it was a much needed vacation for both of us.  I did squeeze in a session over the holidays for this sweet family.  This sweet Dad bought Mom a gift certificate for the session for Mother’s Day….a Mommy and Julian session.

And, we have a budding photographer in our midst! Mom and Dad say he takes pics of everything (Tania–I won’t go into detail on that one!)…

Happy Holidays!

I am so, so, so behind in my blogging and I do have a few sessions that I need to post about…but first things first.  I just have to share holiday pics of our two “babies”….the cutest 2 dogs in the world!

And my favorite, which was taken by Pat.  Now we totally understand how hard it is for parents to get pics of their own kids!  You should have seen us out there….Pat ready with the camera, and me trying every possible trick to get them to “stay!” and “look at Daddy!”…
